Walter M. Bortz II, M.D., is recognized as one of the forefront scientific leaders on the subject of aging and longevity. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, and a graduate of Williams College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Dr. Bortz' research focuses on the importance of physical exercise in the aging process. Dr. Bortz has published over 130 medical articles, authored several books and serves on the board of a number of medical and geriatric societies. For over 43 years, the 85-year-old has been running marathons annually.
